16 August 2019

As we are going through the “Wet Season” which normally happens in May – September/October, all locals would consider carrying rain coats and umbrellas with them all the time.  In a tropical country like Thailand, it is sometimes very hard to forecast the weather and we could expect anything. We didn’t expect this season to be so warm and sunny.

Over the past couple of years the weather has been very different. Last year the rainy days were one after another lasting for months and for several hours a day.  Averaging on 250+ mm of rainfall during this period of time is to be expected this year again. As of August 2019, we can admit that we have barely experienced any rain during for a few months.

Take advantage of the lower prices for accommodation and low amount of tourists coming here at this time. There are plenty of tourists who actually prefer to travel to Thailand during the wet season for those very reasons mentioned above. Still thinking it may rain? Play it safe and get yourself Pool Access room, so you can enjoy your swimming time in case if it does. It won’t last too long anyway. We haven’t really seen a good rain in months. Maybe some time… just small cyclones were passing by.

If you however, staying somewhere else in Phuket, come and stay at Holiday Inn Resort Maikhao for a weekend with the very special deal for doing so.

We also believe while in Thailand, everyone should experience a private beach dinner at least once, maybe for a very special occasion you might have coming soon.

After all, all those not so rainy clouds are just making sunsets even more beautiful.
